About me

About me

Just a few notes about me, my employment and my thoughts about life in general.

What I enjoy doing in Life.

Hi there! Just a bunch of things I do such as…..I am always working at my Landscape Photography. For last 25+ years I was an IT Network Manager. My enjoyment and passion is capturing the beauty of Landscapes and Nature with a camera. I have added the ability to capture landscapes from above using DJI drone technology as well. Capturing photos has been on my time off but I am pursing to make it full time. Also I love blogging about the things I love that interests me such as Photography related things.

I love my Nikon gear. Those are my tools I use for capturing my photo’s. At one time I had a photo dark room but it seldom ever gets used any more with the migration to digital photography. My darkroom now consists of a few pieces of software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and On1 Photo RAW and Luminar and Aurora HDR for my postprocessing of my photos.

Career through my life has been in IT as Network and Server technician. I have designed and managed a 13 site Fiber IP infrastructure Network. I designed and manage a VMware virtualized server environment built on vmware on top of HP proliant server hardware. On the backend used EMC SAN hardware platform as the main data storage. Server environment was mostly Microfocus Suse Linux servers providing different functions such as Authentication, data storage and security. It also provided data backups and archiving.

On a Personal Note

I am a Jesus follower – more clearly put: I am a Ragamuffin – Most of us believe in God’s Grace – in Theory, But somehow we can’t seem to apply it in our daily lives. Yet, God gives us His Grace, willingly, no matter what we’ve done, so we come to Him as ragamuffins – dirty, bedraggled and beat-up. And when we sit at His feet, He smiles upon us, the chosen objects of His “furious love”

IT Support Tech – 1989 – 2014

When I became a computer tech shortly after I was married I was young in my early twenties and eager to be a great computer technician. I moved to the west coast of Canada. Managed to land a great job with a small computer retail store that grew quickly, It was fun then and challenging, busy traveling along the coast visiting businesses and was very satisfied what I was doing. Then we started a family. The city life raising a child was something my wife and I were not sure we wanted. We decided to move back to central Canada to a small town where we originated from, close to family. I landed a tech position at the local School district and have been there for the last 17 years until May 2014. It was very hard to leave but necessary.
